Contrada del Falco 2013

The aroma is invitingly rich with a strong sweetness from the grapes.  One thinks immediately of a cigar box, confectionery and chocolate.  The same impressions are present in the taste, which also offers a mixture of ripe fruit, raisins and a touch of prune aftertaste.  It has aged 12 months in barrels.  The color is dark medium.  A lovely wine for that special dinner - or while waiting for the food to be ready.

Information:  50% Negromaro 25% Malvasia Nera and 25% Primitivo  Serve 68-70 F. Can be decanted 1-2 hours. Drink now until 2018
